Mr. Cannon is the Managing Partner of Sapient Funding, LLC. He has been in the real estate investment business since 1972. He has brokered over $200 million dollars in multi-family and commercial properties and has acquired as a principal over $150,000,000.00 in multi-family and commercial properties throughout the state of Texas. He currently serves as Managing Partner of Sapient Funding, LLC and Sapient Capital, LLC. He holds a BSBA from the University of Arkansas and has previously held the CPM designation, CFP, Texas Brokers License and was the Education Committee Chairman for the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).
Boone Nerren – Management Partner
Mr. Nerren was born in Dallas, TX in 1958. He attended public schools primarily in the Dallas area until graduating from Lake Highlands High School in 1976. He entered the University of Texas in Austin in the fall of 1976 and graduated with a Bachelor degree in Journalism in 1980. He later attended graduate school at SMU in Dallas in the Master of Fine Arts program.
His interest in real estate began in the early 1980’s when he obtained a Texas sales license and became an agent in his family’s real estate brokerage. He began to buy homes for rehab and resale in the mid 1980’s. Near the end of 1989 he received an offer to take a media sales job offered by a contact from his college days and minimized his real estate efforts for the next ten years.
In 2000, he became active again in real estate investment opportunities. In 2004 he founded a private investment fund, Realty Investment Opportunities, LLC. The fund strategy was to use the annual contributions of its members to buy and hold real estate for cash flow and capital appreciation. RIO, LLC grew quickly, tripling in size and membership within 2 years. A second investment fund, RIO II, was formed in 2007 to accommodate additional interest in the group’s real estate and private investing efforts.
Mr. Nerren in responsible for the management of the multi-family properties owned and operated by the Sapient Companies.
Kenny Bounds - Development Partner
Kenny Bounds developed his first subdivision, Kings Ridge, in Frisco, Texas in 1981. He has been involved in both residential and commercial real estate development since that time.
In 1984-1985, he held 50% ownership of AP Development, Inc., who developed the Collin County Community College in McKinney, Texas. This property was also known as Osmond Plaza prior to the sale to CCCC. During this time he also participated with Wenclay International out of Phoenix, Arizona. They were the owner and developer of the Landmark Building in the Quorum located in Addison, Texas. This was the former headquarters for American Express.
From 1985-1986, he developed a total of four strip centers in Atlanta, Georgia that were dedicated to auto servicing companies.
He formed KB Group in 1997. Since that time, KB Group has developed over 23 subdivisions with a total of approximately 1700 lots. These Texas residential subdivisions are located in Fort Worth, Burleson, Keller, Red Oak, Little Elm, Oak Point, Lewisville, Melissa, Celina and Allen. KB Group has sold to builders such as Choice Homes, Coleman Homes, DR Horton, First Texas Homes, Beazer, Lennar, and Goff Homes.
Between 2007 - 2009 Kenny has been involved with Lumicare, a Texas LLC, to build two surgery centers. One in Scottsdale, Arizona and the other in Bedford, Texas for the Brown Hand Center.
Currently, Kenny is working with land owners to develop assisted living facilities in Houston and in Dallas, Texas.
Gary Schell – Development Partner
Gary Schell has substantial experience in sales, marketing, acquisition, and construction of residential and commercial real estate property and holds a Texas Real Estate Broker’s license. He started his career, after graduation in finance from Ohio State University, with BancOhio Corporation. During his tenure with the bank, Mr. Schell completed a 5-year management and finance program, which afforded him the working knowledge of the banking industry. In the early 1980’s, he formed Schell Properties, which was involved in the business of syndicating income producing real estate properties in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. Through acquisition, Schell Properties branched out into the business of design and construction of luxury homes, winning twice the coveted title of the “Luxury Home Builder of the Year.” In the late 1990’s into the early 2000’s, Mr. Schell was engaged by several Dallas banks for the renovation and disposition of their foreclosed single-family homes. In 2003, Mr. Schell formed Innovative Custom Homes, which develops urban style townhome projects such as Craig Ranch in McKinney, Settlement North and South, and Adriatica, also in McKinney, Texas. In 2008, with the downturn in the economy, Mr. Schell formed Momentum Asset Management Company, which capitalized on purchasing over 50mm in defaulted first lien mortgages. Momentum was able to obtain mortgages at deep discounts, work with homeowners to get them paying again or foreclose, and resell the mortgages at substantial returns to investors. Mr. Schell is the developer of Vintage Place.

John R. Zeman is the General Manager of EcoShield Framing Systems, LLC. Zeman has been involved in SIP business endeavors over the last ten years resulting in the manufacturing and sales of more than one hundred (100) SIPs homes throughout the Southwest.
John holds BS and MS degrees in Chemistry from St. Peter’s University and The University of Notre Dame. He also served active duty as Captain of the US Army.
John served as a Vice President and Corporate Officer for Eastman Kodak for more than twenty years operating worldwide business units ranging in value from $400 to $800 million.
John served as Vice President of Business and Development for Johnson & Johnson where his accomplishments were numerous. They included delivering a 20% bottom line growth for a Fortune 100 company, growing the European sales 50%, leading the company expansion in the Japanese market and leading the company to their number one position in customer satisfaction for 5 years.

Mike Cannon holds a BSBA from the University of Arkansas. From 1974 to 1980, he had direct responsibility for all corporate accounting and shareholder reporting for a NYSE health care company in Houston, Texas, with direct interface with all levels of senior management.
From 1980 to present, he has managed the operations of his family's residential general contracting company, Tynes Sparks Building Corporation, that was established in 1925 in Houston, Texas. During his construction career, he has participated in all areas of production for the company's one of a kind projects, ranging in size from 12,000 sf to 30,000 sf as well as developed and maintained relationships with some of the city's most significant clients, architects and interior designers.
